Controversial lawyers Pat & Jane Lennon list lavish Caulfield North home amid legal stoush

Controversial legal couple Pat and Jane Lennon have placed their opulent $5m Melbourne home on the market after handing in their legal licences last month.

The couple have been under close scrutiny by regulators following a NewsCorp investigation into their alleged misleading of the Supreme Court in a lawsuit over Mrs Lennon’s high-interest lending business Argyle.

Mr Lennon, whose past clients have included the likes of underworld figure Mick Gatto and ex-jockey Danny Nikolic, faces separate drug charges including methamphetamine trafficking and possession.

After the couple were recently removed from the register of Victorian lawyers, they have now listed their lavish Caulfield North pad with a $5.2m-$5.7m price tag.

The four-bedroom home stretches across a sizeable 1104sq m block in the suburb’s ‘Golden Mile’, and features an indoor swimming pool with a retractable roof, opening out to a full-sized tennis court.

Inside, a glamorous marble kitchen with a butler’s pantry, three Gaggenau ovens and a huge built-in wine fridge leads into the light-filled living and dining rooms, the latter boasting soaring ceilings, a crystal chandelier and parquetry flooring.

The spacious main bedroom on the ground floor comes with both built-in and walk-in wardrobes and a dual-vanity marble ensuite with a freestanding bathtub, while three further bedrooms and a rumpus room are found upstairs.

Gary Peer Caulfield North director Darren Krongold said the 2 Eyre Rd home catered to both “relaxed family living and lavish or intimate entertaining”.

“The sophisticated style, multiple sun-lit spaces, select finishes and breathtaking dimensions combine effortlessly to create this luxurious family environment,” Mr Krongold said.

PropTrack data shows the couple paid $2.8m for the ritzy digs in 2007.

It comes after Mr Lennon sold a Melbourne CBD office he co-owned with former business partner Nick Mazzeo earlier this year for $3.5m.

NewsCorp also revealed that the lawyer transferred a million-dollar property in Melbourne’s north from the estate of bankrupt former doctor Nick Sevdalis in 2021, who owed him legal fees, to a company controlled by ex-footy WAG Hava Brandman.

Ms Brandman, the former partner of Carlton great Ron De Iulio, pleaded guilty to meth trafficking last month for the same incident that led to Mr Lennon’s drug charges.

She was sentenced to 100 hours of community service.

Mr Lennon has denied any wrongdoing and his committal court hearing last week has been adjourned to next month.
